A web site
is a simple but rather time-consuming project — and it need not
be a chore if it's done right.
When I
taught myself web design three years ago, I vowed to never do the things
in my sites that I hated experiencing in others (such as scrolling all
the way to the bottom of a page and not finding a "TOP
OF PAGE" link, forcing me to scroll all the way back up
again, or not being able to read text due to bad color choices). So
I like to think my sites are easy to navigate and read, make logical
sense, and provide a thorough but concise presentation of the material
in question.
There is
a lot to do setting up a web site, and if it's built correctly, adding
to it is a relative snap. So the cost lies mainly in its foundation.
There's a domain name to acquire and register, a server to hire, a navigational
system to design and produce, and then the site is ready to live online.
To set
up a site, my rate is $3000. Every page of the site is $100. So let's
say you have a 10-page web site: $3000 for the set-up, and 10 pages
@ $100 each is a total of $4000. Each additional page would cost you
$100, and so on. My fees include:
Domain
Name Search & Registration
Server
Set-Up
Navigational
Design & Production
Online
Upload
Rollover
Buttons, Photo Scans, & Text Formatting
All
you supply are the photos
and text. I do the rest!
If
you're interested in having the ability to collect donations (I use
PayPal),
my fee is $150 for the set-up. Banner ads are $100 each; animated banners
are $200.
For
books, newsletters, bumper stickers, flyers, pamphlets, posters, etc.,
please contact me
for pricing information.
My
rates are lower than the market bears because I want to help you get
a web site online. The more voices animals have, I say, the better.
